Light up Our Street:
Build illuminated architectural Maquettes using electrical circuits

WORKSHOP CONTENT

  • 1 x STEAM Facilitator

  • Full Risk Assessment

  • ‘Introduction to Architecture’ (with bespoke Power Point presentation)

  • Step by step instruction in person, supported by Power Point presentation, to construct an illuminated building / house

  • Up to 70 net cubes, cuboids and prisms cut and prepared ahead of workshop

  • Up to 35 individual ‘Circuit Kits’ including LED diodes, copper tape, switches and battery (school to keep)

  • Class based ‘Light up Our Street: Process’ Booklet

  • Creation of electrical circuits to light each house using ‘Circuit Kits’

  • Display houses together to form a lit street.

  • Up to 30 participants with appropriate staff support (the more available adult support, the better participant experience)

  • £250, with all materials, including DT Booklets, Circuit Kits.

  • Additional costs for optional elements. Cost may vary depending on numbers and distance travelled.

Draw Bots Battle:
Building rudimentary Mark Making Machines

  • Full Risk Assessment

  • ‘Introduction to Engineering’ (with bespoke Power Point presentation)

  • Step by step instruction in person, supported by Power Point presentation/s, with all specialist materials and tools, to build mark making Draw Bots

  • Up to 35 individual ‘Circuit Kits’ including motors, copper tape, switches and battery (school to keep)

  • Pens, pencils and drawing materials

  • Class based ‘Building Draw Bots: Process’’ Booklet

  • Use Draw Bots to explore other forms of mark making
