A Festival of Print:
Create a Whole School Display of Pupils’ Printmaking

WORKSHOP CONTENT

  • 1 x Artist Facilitator

  • Full Risk Assessment

  • ‘Introduction to Printmaking’ (with bespoke Power Point presentation)

  • Step by step instruction in person, supported by Power Point presentation/s, with all specialist materials and tools, to produce prints using skills and techniques that suit age and ability:

    EYFS / KS1 / KS2 – Options include monoprints, LEGO print, stamps, linocuts, collagraph, gelli prints and/or chine-colle

  • All print materials provided and included in cost

  • After workshop, prints are taken away and sealed / mounted as appropriate, then returned to school for display

  • Option of Artist Facilitator revisiting to install prints on site as whole school display

Light up Our Street:
Build Illuminated, Architectural Maquettes

WORKSHOP CONTENT

  • 1 x STEAM Facilitator

  • Full Risk Assessment

  • ‘Introduction to Architecture’ (with bespoke Power Point presentation)

  • Step by step instruction in person, supported by Power Point presentation, to construct an illuminated building / house

  • Up to 70 net cubes, cuboids and prisms cut and prepared ahead of workshop

  • Up to 35 individual ‘Circuit Kits’ including LED diodes, copper tape, switches and battery (school to keep)

  • Class based ‘Light up Our Street: Process’ Booklet

  • Creation of electrical circuits to light each house using ‘Circuit Kits’

  • Display houses together to form a lit street.

Making Roman Mosaics:
Create geometric patterned tile inspired by Roman tesserae

WORKSHOP CONTENT

  • 1 x Facilitator

  • Full Risk Assessment

  • ‘Introduction to Roman mosaics’ (with bespoke Power Point presentation)

  • Step by step instruction in person, supported by Power Point presentation, to create a mosaic roman tile exploring geometry, symmetry and lines of symmetry

  • 30 wooden tile ‘blanks’

  • Class based ‘Making Roman Mosaics: Process’ Booklet

  • Enough mosaic tiles for a class of 30, organised by colour

  • Coloured pencils to match mosaic tiles to aid design process

  • PVA glue, spreading tools, sponges and grout

  • Tiles can be exhibited together or sent home
