Specialist Facilitator

“Ruth was amazing with the children. They were all engaged and learnt so many new skills… If only we could have these workshops every week!”

Mrs. Mason, Teacher, St. Thomas the Martyr Primary School

Ruth developed Dig Deep Learning in response to a career spent in design studios, architects’ offices, galleries, museums and educational settings, and has produced these workshops in consultation with educators, alongside architects, engineers, archaeologists, designers and artists, all with the aim of:

  • supporting curriculum learning through focused study, informed by expert knowledge and bespoke resources

  • approaching learning through doing by encouraging - sometimes messy, always creative - hands-on engagement.

  • discovering individuals’ untapped abilities and strengths, while developing social skills and self-esteem

  • introducing a variety of disciplines and careers to children and young people, with the view of making them real and fostering aspiration

  • building cultural capital by offering uncommon experiences that develop participants’ understanding of themselves and the world

Ruth has Undergraduate Degrees in Fine Art and English Literature, with Postgraduate Qualifications in Art History, Conservation and Multimedia Design. She has training in supporting Children and Young People’s mental health and teaching support. Ruth has an Enhanced DBS, Safe Guarding training and Paediatric First Aid certification.
